The disc shod, adventure ready machine steps up the game
SHIPPING IN LATE MAY/ EARLY JUNE
The Pilgrims Disc is the future of road bikes: a road bike capable of taking big tyres. It could be city streets; narrow, country lanes or wayward trails and paths that pique your interest. An all-rounder ready and willing to take on all of it – The Pilgrims Disc is #RoadPlus.
What’s it all about?
Versatility and fun lie at the core of the Pilgrims Disc and allows you to do far more than you think possible. On the black stuff, a slight BB drop and stretch in the wheelbase keeps everything rock solid and predictable on the longest of hauls, and the same geometry tweaks allow you to push hard when the surface loosens up.
Top it off with its practical hat and the full mudguard ready set up makes for supreme year-round performance whether on the long winter runs or crushing the commute. Its a great road bike that offers a whole lot more.
How big are those big tyres?
While it’s perfectly at home playing with the race bikes shod with super-fast 25c rubber, when you add a bit more that you can really have some fun. We’ve yet to find a 32c road tyre that doesn’t fit, some skinny cross tyres will shoehorn in for super loose-surface summer fun, and of course, when it rains, mudguards will perfectly shroud up to a 30c tyre for sure footed, wet weather performance.
Whatever you fit, you’ll never have to think ‘where does that go?” when passing tracks and trails that head off into the woods and heathlands.
What’s the Tech Spec like?
Flat mounts allow for 140mm rotors without adapters but there is clearance for 160mm front and rear. Holding everything in place are 12mm thru axles front and rear, for full compatibility with the latest road specific disc wheelsets. We supply both Allen key and QR through axles, so you can have super-fast wheel changes, or a minutely slower wheel release, but cleaner look and extra security – it’s all about personal preference. Mudguards can be fitted alongside the discs, should the ultimate winter bike feature on your dream bike wish list.
Cables run with full outers front to rear for weather proof breaking and shifting, and should electronic shifting be your thing, modular cable guides allow for a clean Di2, EPS or eTap build.
